Photography / At the Center

This is a series I began just months after my fiancé’s death in 2012. It wasn’t ever planned or thought about… but came instead out of a deep need to find peace and comfort in the darkness of grief. Photography became one of my only ways to do this – a form of meditation that continues to be deeply healing. Over time, as I looked back, I began to see a consistency in the images. A story was being told, all along, without my knowing. I think its about the deepest parts of us all. The things we want, the things we fear, the things we hope for…
