Prayer Flag Project 1

Hello World! I know, it’s been a while. Back in March of this year, at the Afterlife Awareness Conference, you all provided me with beautiful messages of love to your dear ones who have passed on. Mothers to their daughters, husbands to their wives, children to their parents or grandparents… and all you knew was that I was planning an art project based on your words. I’m sure you’re wondering, just where did those hand-written messages go? Well, I’m so happy to finally share that with you!

I have taken your messages and tenderly traced over each word in bright gold and silver ink onto traditional Tibetan Prayer Flags. I’m about halfway done right now and hope to have them completed before the year is out! Once done, I will be photographing them individually and installing them in a very spiritually significant location here in Central Texas… at which time I will hold a Spirit Ceremony to honor each flag and the people – both here and on the other side – whom they belong to. I’ll be sure to share more details about the ceremony as the time gets closer, but there will certainly be photos and video of the ceremony for those who do not live nearby!
What is a Prayer Flag?
Tibetan Buddhists for centuries have planted these flags outside their homes and in places of spiritual significance for the winds to carry their beneficent vibrations across the countryside. They believe that the flags carry happiness, prosperity, and peace to the planter and all those who visit. I cannot think of a better place for your messages to reside than on such flags. I feel connected to each of you and to each of your loved ones on the other side while I am retracing such heartfelt words… my hope is that somehow, as I work on them, that this energy makes its way out to you – whether you ever know where it came from or not!2014 Project – The Grand Canyon!
I’m planning a MUCH larger version of this project – with thousands of flags – to be installed at the Grand Canyon next fall! This is still in the very early planning stages, and it’s not certain I will be able to secure permission at the canyon, but I’m dreaming BIG! My goal is to have a flag installation at a different location around the world each year and have an Opening Spirit Ceremony on opening day where we will honor all who have flags.Spread the Word!
If you know anyone else who would be interested in creating a memorial flag for their loved one and being part of this project, please share this newsletter or have them contact me! I have a website and Facebook page in the works, but until then, I can be reached

A Little Help from my Friends
If you like what this project is about or want to help it along, please consider making a donation via Paypal here. It definitely takes a lot of time and money, and I can use all the help I can get!

Thank you all for participating and following along with me on this adventure to remember our loved ones. I fully believe that if we refuse to allow death to be an ending, by finding ways to keep spirit and memory alive, that we never have to say goodbye.

All my love,
